Scaling Warehouse Operations Through Self-Implementation
The Challenge
As demand for its agricultural products and services increased, Farmers Business Network needed to expand its distribution network rapidly while improving warehouse efficiency and operational consistency.
Initially targeting five new WMS-enabled distribution centers in a year, FBN required a system that could support faster rollouts across multiple locations. Remote implementation and independent configuration were particularly important during the pandemic, enabling the company to reduce deployment time, build internal expertise, and maintain greater control over its expansion plans.
The Solution
FBN selected SnapFulfil for its scalability, configurability, and established remote implementation capabilities.
Working with the SnapFulfil team, FBN developed a structured implementation program using its first distribution center as a blueprint for future deployments. The approach included technical guidance, NetSuite integration, workflow configuration, and comprehensive training.
As internal expertise grew, FBN transitioned from supported remote implementations to independently configuring and deploying SnapFulfil across additional facilities, creating a repeatable process for continued expansion.
The Impact
SnapFulfil helped Farmers Business Network accelerate its distribution network expansion while establishing more consistent and efficient warehouse processes.
Within nine months, FBN had brought 12 of its 15 planned distribution centers online using SnapFulfil. Improved picking workflows and standardized processes supported greater operational efficiency, while the company's growing internal expertise enabled increasingly independent implementations.
The repeatable deployment model also allowed FBN to bring multiple facilities online in close succession, providing a scalable foundation for continued growth.
