How to Understand Shipment Statuses

As your Shipment progresses through SnapFulfil, it can go through a variety of different statuses dependent on your configuration.

The standard statuses are:

Value Description Explanation
00 Valid SnapFulfil's processes will check for stock with each pass.
01 Cancelled

SnapFulfil will ignore this Shipment when assigning Tasks for picking.
This can be combined with a Rule to also Cancel the Shipment if desired.

02 Postponed

SnapFulfil will ignore this Shipment when assigning Tasks for picking.
Named for information purposes.

03 Credit Hold SnapFulfil will ignore this shipment when assigning Tasks for picking.
Named for information purposes.

04

Suspended SnapFulfil will ignore this shipment when assigning Tasks for picking.
Named for information purposes.
70 Recreate Pack SnapFulfil attempts to recreate the PACK and SASSM Tasks if they were deleted or failed to generate for any reason.
This will also set the Status back to 'Valid'.
80 Interface Error The Shipment has been sent down in an interface but a portion of this has failed.
More on this below.

What do I do if my Shipment shows as status 'Interface Error'?

In this case, it means part of the interface has failed validation.  To check this, you need to:

  • Go to Activity > Host Interface.
  • Click on the relevant Host.
  • Select the Inbound tab.
  • Click on the Errored radio button.
  • Click on the magnifying glass .
  • In the first field select 'Shipment', in the second - select 'Is' and in the third type the Shipment ID you are querying.

This will show you all of the segments sent for this particular shipment.

  • If you double click on the message, you will see the problem.

Common Interface Error problems are:

  • XDOC UPDATE - This means that the Shipment or Receipt has progressed past Due in or Due Out and is no longer able to be updated.
  • Invalid Product - This means the product sent in on the Shipment doesn't exist yet.  Go to Master Data - Product and create it before re validating the interface.
  • Invalid Unit of Measure - The Unit of Measure sent in doesn't exist.  In this case, if the Unit of Measure is a valid one, you will need to contact the Service Desk to get it added to your Test and Live environments.
