FAQ-Why is My Shipment Not Generating a Task?

Tasks are generated via a background process which runs at intervals specified when your system was set up. 

When the background process runs it generates Tasks for both inbound and outbound Shipments. Once the process has run it will then sleep for a number of seconds before running again.

Also depending on how many shipments you have when the process runs again it can take time for the order to change to Released.

What to Check

If a Shipment does not progress, first check that:

  • The stock is of a Good Status.
  • The Stock is in a valid, active Location.
  • The Rules point to the appropriate Locations.

If these are correct, and if after 10 minutes the Shipment has not progressed, please raise a ticket with the SnapFulfil Service Desk.
