FAQ-What Is The Difference Between a Configuration Change and a Modification?
What Types of Changes are there?
SnapFulfil change requests usually fall into 3 categories:
- Configuration Changes
- Software Modifications
- Changes to Licenses or Support hours
Configuration Changes
These are changes that are made in SnapFulfil and are part of the existing capabilities of the software. Configuration changes can vary greatly in complexity and range from an amendment to a rule to a remap of the entire warehouse. Configuration changes do not require a new software release.
Software Modifications
If you require functionality that is not currently achievable with SnapFulfil then it may be possible to add new code (or change code) within the SnapFulfil Software. Examples of software modifications are:
- Bespoke reports or paperwork
- An integration with a new carrier service
- New Admin or RF screen
Software modifications are delivered as part of a new Software release.
Important Note
It is important that thorough User Acceptance Testing (UAT) is completed for all changes to ensure the you are happy with the changes before they are deployed to the Live environment. For more information on UAT, please see our article: https://snapfulfil.com/help-center/faq-a-guide-to-user-acceptance-testing-uat
