FAQ-What Happens to Stock When an Order is Cancelled?

This will depend on how far along the Order has progressed at the time the Order is cancelled.

When you cancel Orders, the Stock is de-assigned from the Order but it is not automatically transferred back to where it was picked from.

  • If an order is cancelled at Picked, the stock remains where the picking Task left it (most likely the staging location).
  • If you had already Packed it, the stock will be in the Pack Station location.
  • If the order is cancelled at stage Released then it was never picked so the Stock hasn't moved.

You can check the Task tab on the Shipment page to find out if the picking Task had been completed.

You can use the Inventory screens to find the stock.
