FAQ-Understanding Basic Tasks
Within SnapFulfil there are a number of different task types that can be used to move stock to different areas of the operation. These Task Types are configurable and may differ from that described below depending on your operations requirements.
Note that there are some task types which are created in SnapFulfil, but only work in the back ground of the system and are not used on the RF Device.
Listed below are the main task types used and their meanings:-
INSP - Inspection Task
Once the arrival of the Supplier Receipt has been confirmed, the inspection of the pallets can be started. If an RF operator only has 'INSP' task type the stock will only be at stage of 'Received'. No Putaway task will be generated by this RF operator.
PUTS - Putaway 'STU'
This task would be generated when an RF operator has permissions to inspect and Putaway the stock to a specific area of the warehouse. This would be a single 'STU' containing one product. The 'STU' would be putaway to the designated putaway zone, based on putaway rules. This task type can also be generated from the PC desk top terminal within the Supplier receipt, stock tab.
PUTI - Putaway ' ITEM'
This task would be generated when an RF operator has permissions to putaway the stock to a specific area of the warehouse. This would be a multi item 'STU' containing more than one product. Each item would be putaway/directed to a separate locations within the designated putaway zone (s), based on putaway rules. This task type can also be generated from the PC desk top terminal within the Supplier receipt, stock tab.
SPS - Stock Pick 'STU'
On a shipment, when a full pallet quantity is required and exists within a single BULK location. SnapFulfil, will generate a task type of 'SPS'.
SPI - Stock Pick 'ITEM'
On a shipment, where multiple different products/quantities are required to be picked. SnapFulfil will generate a task type of SPI, picking stock from a number of different PICKING locations, contained within a tote, normally picked from floor level locations, by route sequence. This task type can also be generated when using pick group.
SPIM - Stock Pick 'MULTI'
When a Shipment contains one line, where the product quantity is also one, SnapFulfil will generate a task type of 'SPIM'. This will enable you to pick multiple shipments with this criteria and also be able to pack them simultaneously at the pack station.
SPB - Stock Pick 'BOX'
This task would be generated to pick full box quantities.
AUSA1 - 'AUDIT' - Stock-Adhoc-Item / AUSA3 - 'AUDIT' - Stock-Adhoc- StU
If the operation requires to check stock held within a location. Once the Audit task has been created on the PC Desktop. The RF operator would either generate a task type of 'AUSA1' or 'AUSA3', depending if the stock check required is for a BULK location or a PICKING location.
SGS - STU PICK GROUP
A 'SGS' task will be created when a Shipment(s) are added to a pick group and the stock required to be picked is a full or part bulk pallet which is held on one 'STU'. The stock is moved to a temporary area of the warehouse called Forward Pick Zone before picking of the Shipments is started. Only once the total stock for the pick group has been assembled in the Forward Pick Zone, can manual picking of the individual shipments begin.
SGI - ITEM PICK GROUP
A 'SGI' task will be created when a Shipment(s) are added to a pick group and the stock required is from a number of locations where stock is held in Zone Pick. The stock is moved to a temporary area of the warehouse called Forward Pick Zone before picking of the Shipments is started. Only once the total stock for the pick group has been assembled in the Forward Pick Zone, can manual picking of the individual shipments begin.
LOAD - Load Task / SLOD - Stock Load 'STU'
If the loading functionality is used in SnapFulfil, once the stock has been picked and Marshaled a task type of 'LOAD' and 'SLOD' will be created. A single 'LOAD' task will be generated enabling the RF operator to select the load required to be loaded. For each 'STU' id created on picking a 'SLOD' task will be generated, enabling the RF operator to scan each 'STU id' to be loaded.
STRAS - Stock Transfer 'STU'
By selecting the transfer Stu option on the RF device, this will enable the operator to transfer a whole pallet quantity held on one 'STU' id within a location. This process can also be completed on the PC Desktop terminal.
STRAI - Stock Transfer 'ITEM'
By selecting the transfer Item option on the RF device, this will enable the operator to transfer a partial pallet quantity held on one 'STU' id within a location. This process can also be completed on the PC desk top terminal.
SCONS - Stock Consolidate 'STU'
By selecting the transfer stock consolidation option on the RF device, this will enable the operator to consolidate 'STU id's from one pallet to another. This process can also be completed on the PC desk top terminal.
SRS - Stock Replen 'STU'
When Replen records are being used in SnapFulfil, if the location falls below the minimum trigger then a task type of 'SRS' will be generated. This requires the RF operator to move the full pallet quantity directly into that location.
SRI - Stock Replen 'ITEM'
When Replen records are being used in SnapFulfil, if the location falls below the minimum trigger then a task type of 'SRI' will be generated. This requires the RF operator to move only part quantity of the pallet directly into that location.
SASSM - Stock 'ASSEMBLY' / PACK - Stock 'PACK'
Both of the above task types are used only in the background of SnapFulfil and are not used on the RF device. The 'SASSM' task is an assembly task which is created when picked stock is moved to a 'STAGING' Zone area. Once the 'SASSM' task is created, this then generates a follow on task type of 'PACK'. The 'PACK task is used solely on the PC Desktop to enable the 'STU' id's to be packed.
